Youth Alive Zimbabwe’s work is anchored in a holistic, rights-based approach that recognizes young people as agents of change capable of shaping their own futures and their communities. Across Manicaland we implement integrated programming that addresses the interconnected challenges young people face from child protection and gender-based violence to health vulnerabilities, economic exclusion, and climate impacts. Our approach is grounded in meaningful youth participation, ensuring that young people are not passive beneficiaries but active decision-makers in designing and implementing solutions that affect their lives. We work across four strategic pillars that together create a comprehensive ecosystem of support, from prevention and protection to economic empowerment and climate resilience. By strengthening systems, building community capacity, and mobilizing faith and government partners, we create sustainable pathways out of vulnerability. At Youth Alive Zimbabwe we believe that investing in young people today, particularly young women and girls, is investing in Zimbabwe’s future. Our work demonstrates that when young people are protected, empowered, and equipped with the knowledge and skills to lead, entire communities thrive.
